This is probably my favorite fused glass piece I’ve ever done!

I started by creating my pattern and laying out some initial pieces. The yellow blossoms were created by placing approximately one million small pieces of glass into the kiln for either a contour or full fuse.

(The only things in this kiln that belong to me are the yellow pieces.)

This is what the piece looked like post-grinding and after adding stringer.

Post-first firing! Not the gaps! ๐ (Contour firing)

The glass was then placed on top of the mold and placed into the kiln for a slump firing.

Complete! Biggest shoutout ever to my instructor for adding in some frit to fill in the gaps! So pleased with this result!! ๐
